  • What do you do outside of the office?

I love to downhill ski. I’ve raced competitively and made it to the Junior Olympics in 1989 while I was still in high school. I then raced at MSU and qualified for the Nationals in 1992.

I’m an avid golfer and a runner as well. I got a hole in one last summer, and I’ve completed many half marathons and three full marathons.

  • Who is your hero and why?

My father and my grandfather are my heroes. They both played professional sports and taught me how valuable your work ethic is.

My dad, Gary Silc, played basketball in the NBA for the Detroit Pistons.

My grandpa, Morgan Gingrass, played football at MSU and then in the NFL for the Detroit Lions – I named my daughter after him.

Becoming a mother to my two beautiful children. They make it all worthwhile!
